This year’s Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 13th from 5:30 – 8:30 PM at the Clearwater Country Club.
Our guest speaker is Mr. Tom Borkes, Founder of The Jefferson Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to electronic manufacturing excellence through concurrent education. Mr. Borkes will be speaking on the topic of “Transforming Our High Tech Educational Pipeline.”
This presentation will discuss moving beyond paideia and transforming our high tech educational pipeline into one that focuses on “learning for earning,” as well as “learning for learning.”
We will also announce the 2018 Student Scholarship winners. Additionally, the chapter’s 2018 officers will be installed.

Our awards ceremony is $32.00 for SME Members and $37.00 for Guests, payable at the door by cash or check. RSVP is required.
